1. Who I am
This website is operated by Transition Method Management Consultancy FZCO, a company registered in the IFZA free zone, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("The Transition Method", "I", "me"). I am responsible for the personal data collected through this website. This policy is written to comply with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and, for visitors located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, with the GDPR and the UK GDPR.

2. The data I collect
Information you give me: your name, email address, phone number, company, role and any details you share when you request a Strategic Diagnostic, book a call, send an email or contact me on WhatsApp.
Information collected automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and the website that referred you, collected through cookies and Squarespace Analytics.

3. How I use your data
I use your data to answer your enquiries, schedule calls and Strategic Diagnostic sessions, deliver my advisory services, issue invoices, keep this website secure and understand how it is used so I can improve it. I do not send you marketing messages without your consent.

4. Legal basis
I process your data on the basis of your consent, the steps needed before or under a contract with you, my legitimate interest in running and securing this website, and my legal obligations.

5. Cookies
Squarespace sets strictly necessary cookies for the website to work. Analytics cookies are only used if you accept them through the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time through the banner or your browser settings.

6. Your data stays with The Transition Method
I do not share, sell or rent the information you give me to anyone. It is used only by The Transition Method, for the purposes described in this policy. The tools that run this website and my business, Squarespace (hosting, forms and analytics), [name of booking tool] (call scheduling) and Microsoft (business email), store and process it on my behalf only. If you choose to contact me on WhatsApp, your messages are also subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy. I will only disclose your data to an authority if the law requires me to.

7. International transfers
Some of these tools may store data outside the UAE. When that happens, I rely on providers that apply recognised safeguards to protect your data.

8. How long I keep your data
I keep enquiry data for [24 months] after our last contact, unless we work together. Client data is kept for the duration of the engagement and for the period required by UAE law.

9. Confidentiality and security
Everything shared during an engagement is covered by the confidentiality terms of our agreement. I use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data from loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

10. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, receive a copy of it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Send your request to amelie@thetransitionmethod.com and I will reply within 1 month. If you are not satisfied with my answer, you can contact the competent data protection authority in the UAE, or in your country if you are based in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.

11. Minors
This website is not intended for people under 18, and I do not knowingly collect their data.

12. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
